Kelmar® Parking Deck Waterproofing Systems

Kelmar® FWC System

KELMAR® FWC Traffic Deck System is a rapid curing, odourless, high-solids epoxy/sand matrix which provides long service life with maintained skid resistance. The KELMAR® FWC Traffic Deck System consists of a primer coat, a waterproofing membrane and an abrasion-resistant traffic-bearing wear course, which is seeded with aggregate for durability and skid resistance. An optional UV protective top coat is also available.

Typical Uses: As a waterproofing system for indoor or outdoor parking structures / Pedestrian walkways / Balconies / Mechanical equipment rooms

Kelmar® T.E. System

KELMAR® T.E. System is a rapid curing, high-solids epoxy protective coating system with a proven history of performance. The KELMAR® T.E. System consists of a primer coat, a waterproofing membrane and an abrasion-resistant coal tar epoxy traffic-bearing wear course, which is seeded with aggregate for wear and skid resistance. An optional UV protective top coat is also available. Available in black only.

Kelmar® Merdek® System

KELMAR® MERDEK® system is engineered to meet traffic deck waterproofing requirements of most commercial and residential facilities. The MERDEK® system consists of a basecoat membrane, wear course layer(either KELMAR® FWC or KELMAR® TE), and a topcoat. An optional finish coat is available for areas requiring protection from UV.

Kelmar® PC System

Kelmar® PC is a modified polymer traffic deck waterproofing system specifically engineered for treating Pre-Cast Parking Structure joints. The Kelmar® PC system wear course is a flexible modified polymer blended with aggregates that will remain flexible and give a long service life. The Kelmar® PC waterproofing system consists of an epoxy primer, Kelmar® NEO V latex based waterproofing membrane reinforced with a nylon mesh  and an abrasion resistant flexible traffic bearing wear course blended with aggregates. A topcoat is required for traffic decks exposed to UV. The topcoat is optional for enclosed decks. If the entire deck is receiving deck coating, Kelmar® PC system is applied 12” wide at the joint and the rest of the deck coated with Kelmar® FWC deck coating system.

Typical Uses: Pre-Cast Parking structure joint treatment.

Kelmar® Merdek® LD System

KELMAR® MERDEK® LD system is designed for waterproofing areas subject to light traffic. The system consists of MERDEK® MEMBRANE (a flexible epoxy-urethane hybrid membrane) and KELMAR® 1910, a water-based acrylic coating that resists ultraviolet light and gives a superior finish to the floor.

Kelmar® Merdek® Rubberized

KELMAR® Merdek Rubberized is a cushioned floor coating which is extremely durable with strong adhesion to concrete.  The cushioned floor allows absorption of impact of fallen objects, such as tools, without breaking the integrity of the coating. KELMAR® Merdek Rubberized consists of KELMAR® Merdek Membrane and #151 Aggregate (crumb rubber) mixed prior to application.

Typical Uses: : Mechanical rooms / Balconies

Kelmar® DUALOX is a water-based, low viscosity, two-part, epoxy primer/bonding agent.

Kelmar® Monobond

Kelmar® MONOBOND is a two-component, epoxy primer/bonding agent. It is recommended for adhering concrete underlayments, concrete toppings and certain composition floors.

Typical Uses: Bonding concrete on or below grade / Interior and exterior applications / Inter-coat primer to ensure adhesion of KELMAR® waterproofing systems / As bonding agent on concrete to receive certain composition flooring / To ensure adhesion of thin-bed terrazzo and cement toppings

Kelmar® NEO V - Elastomeric Waterproofing Membrane

KELMAR® NEO V membrane is a polychloroprene-based elastomeric waterproofing membrane.  Applied using brush, roller, lambswool/wood block applicator or airless spray, KELMAR® NEO V is a unique polymer which forms a tough, seamless, waterproof membrane with excellent crack-bridging capabilities.  KELMAR® NEO V is used as a basecoat membrane that must be protected with KELMAR® TE or KELMAR® FWC epoxy wearcourse layers. KELMAR® NEO V can also be covered with other floor or deck products such as seamless epoxy floors, tile or terrazzo.

Typical Uses: Parking structures / Cold storage rooms / Computer rooms / Mechanical rooms / Balconies / Showers / Kitchen / Wet processing areas

Merdek® Membrane

KELMAR® MERDEK MEMBRANE is a 100% solids, flexible epoxy urethane hybrid membrane formulated with advanced chemistry to provide a tough seamless waterproofing system with excellent crack bridging capabilities. It is used as a base coat and can be coated with KELMAR® FWC, KELMAR® TE or KELMAR® BR wear course, followed by application of KELMAR® 1920 Epoxy Top Coat. If a UV protective topcoat is necessary, KELMAR® 1910 UV Coating is recommended. KELMAR® Merdek Membrane does not usually require a primer as it adheres tenaciously to concrete; primer may be required under certain conditions. KELMAR® MEREDEK MEMBRANE maintains its flexibility at low temperatures.

Typical Uses: : Parking structures / Mechanical equipment rooms / Cold storage rooms / Balconies / Shower areas / Kitchen Computer rooms / Wet processing areas / Anti-Fracture membrane for tile floors

KELMAR® T.E. Epoxy is a two-component, coal tar based epoxy coating that provides a durable, chemical resistant surface. As part of the total KELMAR® T.E. System, the KELMAR® T.E. Epoxy/Sand Matrix provides solutions for the varied wear requirements within concrete structures, in areas subjected to vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

Kelmar® FWC - Epoxy Wear Course

KELMAR® FWC (Flexible Wear course) is a high solids epoxy that is frequently used as a wear course in the KELMAR® FWC system of waterproofing and parking deck protection. Originally developed as a concrete adhesive, it also has many other uses and requires no primer. KELMAR® FWC is odor free, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. KELMAR® FWC can also be used for protecting slab-on-grade and split-slab concrete structures from moisture intrusion while providing a vapor permeable protective wear surface.  KELMAR® FWC epoxy loaded to rejection with silica aggregates remains a breathable system.

Typical Uses: As wear course in Kelmar® FWC system / Garage floors / Slab-on-Grade areas / Split-Slab design structures

Kelmar® FWC Fast Set Hardener

KELMAR® FWC Fast Set Hardener is an alternate Part B component for the KELMAR® FWC epoxy, imparting rapid development of physical properties at ambient and low temperatures, while maintaining longer working life.

Typical Uses: Chemically resistant coatings / Accelerator for high solids coatings

KELMAR® Sealmaster 100

KELMAR® Sealmaster 100 is a solvent-free water repellent based on a monomeric silane. Sealmaster 100 is used as a primer and impregnating agent for normal and reinforced concrete in bridges, roads and buildings.

Kelmar® RC

KELMAR® RC is a high solids modified epoxy polymer that is frequently used as a resurfacing compound. KELMAR® RC idoes not require a primer (in most situations) and has very low odor, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Kelmar® LME

KELMAR® LME is a two-component, extremely low viscosity, epoxy resin system designed to penetrate cracks by gravity and bond the concrete surfaces. KELMAR® LME will penetrate fissures as narrow as 0.002 inches wide.
